Job summary

Overlake Medical Center is opening a brand-new Off-Campus Emergency Department in Lynnwood, offering 24/7 ED-level care in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. The ED Tech provides direct patient care under an RN, performs point-of-care testing, and handles blood collection and specimen transport.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, CPR certification, and licensure (NAC or MA-P) within 90 days of hire; one year of health care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Health Care Provider CPR Certification required upon hire.
• Washington State NAC or MA-P licensure required or will be required within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum one year of recent health care experience with patient contact preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred.
• Computer familiarity preferred.
• Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment and record keeping.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients and families under RN supervision.
• Perform waived and moderately complex point-of-care testing and related quality activities.
• Obtain blood samples from patients and transport/handle samples for testing.
