Job summary

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) for the Bellevue Campus Emergency Department. This part-time (.9 FTE) role offers 12-hour night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am and involves direct patient care under RN supervision, blood draws, and point-of-care testing in a Level III Trauma Center setting.

The ideal candidate will have NA-C or NA-R licensure, MA-P, BLS, and at least 1 year of healthcare experience, with strong communication skills and English

Qualifications

• WA NA-C or NA-R licensure required at hire.
• MA-P license; within 90 days of hire.
• BLS for Health Care Providers required.
• At least 1 year of health care setting patient contact preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred.
• Computer familiarity preferred.
• Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment and record keeping.
• Excellent customer service and written/spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Care for patients of various ages as needed.
• Perform waived/moderately complex point-of-care testing and related quality activities.
• Obtain blood samples and transport specimens for testing.
• Maintain accurate record keeping and operate hospital equipment safely.
