Sierra Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, a 170-bed acute care hospital, seeks a per diem Day Surgery RN to provide direct and indirect patient care in the DSU and preoperative holding area. You will communicate with physicians, Nurse Manager and director about changes in patient condition and respond quickly to changes in treatment outcomes.

The role requires Nevada RN licensure and ACLS/BLS certification, with duties spanning full nursing responsibilities across departments under supervision.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada Registered Nurse Licensure.
• ACLS & BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassess as per policy.
• Assess and reassess pain; educate on pain management.
• Establish plan of care per physician orders.
• Treat patients and families with respect and dignity; coordinate with care teams.
• Involve patient and family in discharge planning.
