Job summary

Universal Health Services in Nevada seeks a per diem Day Surgery RN to provide direct and indirect patient care in the DSU and PHA environments. You will communicate changes in patient status with the care team and participate in perioperative nursing duties.

Current Nevada RN licensure and ACLS/BLS are required. The role supports flexible scheduling and patient-centered care across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada RN license is required.
• ACLS and BLS certification are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassess per policy.
• Assess and manage pain using appropriate techniques and educate patients/families.
• Establish a plan of care as ordered by physicians and patient condition.
• Treat patients and families with respect and dignity; address psychosocial and cultural needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to coordinate care and discharge planning.
