Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking a per diem Day Surgery RN to provide direct and indirect patient care in the DSU and PHA environment. Communicates with physicians and nurses regarding changes in patient condition and test results.

You will perform head-to-toe assessments, manage pain, and contribute to the plan of care while maintaining patient dignity and coordinating care with the team.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada Registered Nurse licensure is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required or active.
• Per diem day shift and DSU/PHA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per policy across patient populations.
• Assess and reassess pain; educate patients and families on pain management.
• Establish care plans per physician orders and patient condition; coordinate with the care team.
