Mass General Brigham’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an experienced cook to prepare a diverse menu, including special diets, for daily and event meals. The role requires 5–7 years of cooking experience, strong knowledge of food prep, and inventory oversight at an on-site facility located at 300 First Avenue.

The position is per diem and onsite with a rotating shift, offering pay in the hourly range of $18.58 to $26.58.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 5–7 years of cook experience required.
• Ability to prepare special diets according to prescribed standards.
• Record inventory and/or order stock.
• Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods and quality standards.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Skill in cooking and preparing a variety of foods.
• Organizing and coordinating skills.

Aufgaben

• Receives food ingredients and supplies from main kitchen and pantry as required for daily operations.
• Reviews production schedule to determine food requirements and assemble supplies and equipment.
• Prepares and displays a wide variety of foods per recipes and tests for quality.
• Completes production sheets and other records as required.
• Maintains clean work areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Cater special events as required.
• Attend to equipment and food supply issues and detect spoiled or unattractive food or defective supplies.
