Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a part-time Cook for a 20-hour rotating shift at 81 Highland Avenue, onsite in Salem, MA. You will assist the Chef and Senior Cook in preparing a variety of foods for cafeteria and patient meals, ensuring quality, safety, and timely service in a healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate has at least three years as a cook or five years in culinary preparation, high school diploma or equivalent, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Three years as a cook or five years in preparation and Culinary Arts experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand, and follow recipes.
• Ability to prepare meats, fish, soups, sauces, and vegetables to meet nutritional and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef and Senior Cook in food preparation for cafeteria and patient meals.
• Prepare all items for service to hospital staff and guests, including display trays.
• Maintain sanitation of work surfaces and operate required equipment; participate in patient tray line as needed.
