Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year’s experience in a health related or food service facility, preferably in long term care.
• Prior food service experience is required; ServSafe Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food.
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from the nursing supervisor, when necessary.
• Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures.
• Assist in establishing food service production line, etc., to ensure that meals are prepared on time.
• Assure that menus are maintained and filed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
