Job summary

Children's Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a Clinical Lab Technician III to support patient and specimen preparation, perform QC, and manage reagents in a licensed clinical laboratory. The role requires experience in phlebotomy, strong medical terminology knowledge, and compliance with CLIA and state regulations.

You will work under supervision and collaborate with CLS/MLT staff to ensure accurate testing. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a large lab and phlebotomy experience; CPT certification

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a large laboratory
• 3+ years of experience in technical phlebotomy
• Experience with medical terminology sufficient to discuss pathology and laboratory medicine
• CPT Certification is required when phlebotomy duties are performed

Responsibilities

• Perform patient and specimen preparation and handling
• Conduce QC procedures and ensure regulatory compliance
• Assist in reagent management and instrument maintenance
• Provide patient-focused service and collaborate with clinical staff
