Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician I to perform skin puncture or venipuncture and to collect blood specimens for analysis in the clinical laboratory. You will work under supervision and handle data entry, clerical duties, and specimen processing.

Required are a high school diploma, CPT I certification, and BLS within 45 days; one year of clinical lab experience is preferred. Per Diem shift with variable hours offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Current and valid CPT I certification required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages to obtain blood specimens.
• Enter data, answer phones and perform clerical duties under supervision.
• Demonstrate proper phlebotomy technique and use of equipment.
• Stock supplies and maintain clean storage and work areas.
