Job summary

Huntington Beach Hospital in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a Per Diem Phlebotomy Technician I to perform skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages under supervision, collecting specimens for analysis in the clinical laboratory.

You will handle data entry, specimen processing, and assist with routine lab duties, maintaining cleanliness and following regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPT I certification required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire and maintained current.
• Minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs skin puncture or venipuncture for blood specimens across age groups.
• Performs data entry, filing and other clerical duties.
• Demonstrates proper phlebotomy technique and specimen handling.
• Maintains cleanliness of storage areas and work areas.
• Assists with specimen transport and reference lab processes.
• Other tasks may be assigned by department manager/director.
