Job summary

The ideal candidate holds California Phlebotomy Certification (CPTI/CPTII) and BLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Two years of college in biological sciences, chemistry or equivalent.
• California Phlebotomy Certification - CPTI or CPTII required.
• Must maintain BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Answer and screen calls, and transfer as needed.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens following procedures.
• Label specimens in patient rooms and document paperwork.
• Process specimens according to laboratory procedures and report results.
• Support clerical tasks in the laboratory office and assist with supplies.
