Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and accredited program in cardiac and vascular ultrasound.
• ARDMS RDCS and RVT or CCI RCS and RVS credentials; second credential within one year if only one held.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Performs all cardiac ultrasound studies including echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms per NYU/ACR/IAA standards.
• Performs all vascular ultrasound studies including carotid duplex and extremity studies.
• Creates preliminary reports, documents scans, and maintains patient data with good judgment.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and alerts staff to abnormalities needing attention.
• Assists with accreditation documentation and ensures procedures meet NYU protocols.
