Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Per Diem Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer in Staten Island, open to float to other locations. The role covers comprehensive cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies, with emphasis on echocardiography, carotid duplex, and extremity assessments, aligned to NYU protocols and accreditation standards.

The candidate will document and report findings, interact with patients, and support ongoing quality and compliance efforts within the Radiology department.

Responsibilities

• Performs all cardiac ultrasound studies including echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
• Performs all vascular ultrasound studies including carotid duplex and extremity duplex studies.
• Produces preliminary reports and documents scans per departmental procedures.
• Ensures adherence to NYU protocols, IAC and ACR standards.
• Assists with accreditation documentation and submits studies for reviews.
• Position may require lifting and moving patients or equipment up to 150 pounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
