Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Per Diem Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer to join the NYU Grossman School of Medicine team. The role involves performing comprehensive cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies, creating preliminary reports, and ensuring patient comfort while adhering to NYU protocols.

The position requires an associate degree in ultrasound, relevant credentials (RDCS/RVT or RCS/RVS) or eligibility to obtain the second credential within one year, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or accredited program in cardiac/vascular ultrasound required.
• Must hold RDCS/RVT or RCS/RVS credentials or be eligible to obtain them within one year.
• Current BLS certification and active registry status required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all cardiac ultrasound studies including echocardiograms and stress tests.
• Perform vascular studies including carotid duplex and limb studies per NYU protocols.
• Create preliminary reports and document scans according to procedures.
• Ensure patient comfort, verify identity, and explain procedures clearly.
• Maintain accreditation documentation and report abnormalities promptly.
