Job summary

Advocate Medical Group in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Per Diem Patient Service Representative to support our Behavioral Health office between 7:30am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. This part-time role focuses on delivering compassionate patient care and coordinating scheduling and information.

The position requires a high school diploma and 1-2 years of customer service experience, with the ability to handle difficult callers and patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years related customer service experience.
• Experience handling difficult caller/customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Patient Services: Provides efficient, high-quality service to patients who arrive for appointments or who telephone or visit in person to request appointments or information on tests and procedures, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters.
• Billing Services: Ensures entry at time of service of billing information on the patient and payer and accurate follow-up on missing information.
• Medical Record Services: Upholds standards of the practice and of the medical group for accurate and timely medical records.
