Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist anesthesiologists with patient monitoring lines, intubations, and other procedures. This role maintains anesthesia supplies, stocks equipment, and performs basic maintenance, working closely with OR staff to ensure readiness and safety.

The ideal candidate has experience in fast-paced OR environments or Level I Trauma Centers, strong math and organizational skills, and the ability to rotate shifts and be available for on-call duties.

Qualifications

• The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or a fast paced OR environment.
• Basic mathematical skills to quickly and accurately perform calculations.
• Availability to rotate shifts, take call and work weekends.
• Ability to speak, read and follow directions in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists with placement of patient monitoring lines and difficult intubations.
• Maintain, order, and stock anesthesia supplies and equipment.
• Provide first line equipment maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Anesthesia, OR Manager, and Biomedical engineering to ensure equipment is up-to-date and clean.
