Lilly in Indiana is seeking a Mixed Modality (Peptide Downstream) Scientist to transfer peptide downstream processes from development labs to pilot plant operations and enable early-phase cGMP manufacturing of grams to kilogram quantities of API for clinical supply.

The role emphasizes peptide purification, analytical method setup, and collaboration across safety, process engineering, and quality teams to ensure successful technology transfer and plant readiness.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in synthesis peptide purification and/or manufacturing environments.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and facilitate transfer of peptide downstream processes to pilot plant operations for early-phase cGMP manufacturing.
• Perform peptide purification, isolation, and assess purification methods.
• Familiar with reverse-phase chromatography, TFF, lyophilization, and precipitation/drying.
• Ensure plant readiness by documenting lab procedures and preparing technical packages.
