Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis is seeking an API-EM Sr. Scientist to provide technical and scientific expertise within a dynamic external manufacturing environment.

The role supports external contract manufacturers to achieve reliable, compliant production of API drug substance to global quality standards, with emphasis on process monitoring and issue resolution. Qualified candidates will have knowledge of cGMPs, regulatory manufacturing guidance, and cross-functional collaboration to drive improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or Engineering.
• 3+ years' experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing with regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for peptide manufacturing processes.
• Lead resolution of technical issues related to control strategy and manufacturing.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Build relationships with development and central technical organizations.
• Ensure process documentation, specifications and validation status are maintained.
