Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is expanding its Private Equity Performance Improvement – CFO Services team in the United States. The PEPI CFO Services Associate will apply financial analysis, modeling and structured project management to deliver interim CFO/Controller/Treasurer support and strategic recommendations.

Ideal candidates have 7–10+ years in relevant fields, excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills, and the ability to travel up to 80% with flexible, client-focused delivery.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy or a related field (e.g., treasury, sourcing, supply chain, corporate finance).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited four‑year institution.
• Strong expertise with data and analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau.
• Flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time at short or immediate notice.

Responsibilities

• Developing findings and making strategic recommendations.
• Structuring work plans and managing time‑sensitive projects through completion.
• Strong financial modeling and financial statement analysis; 13‑week cash‑flow modeling preferred; Tableau and think‑cell experience a plus.
• Treasury / cash management experience is a strong plus.
• Systems implementation experience is a plus.
