Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is expanding its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) – CFO Services group in the United States, seeking a PEPI CFO Services Associate with deep finance and accounting expertise and strong project management skills.

Preferred candidates have 7–10+ years in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance, with a Bachelor’s degree or higher and proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, Tableau and Alteryx. Travel up to 80% is required.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy or a related field (e.g., treasury, sourcing, supply chain, corporate finance).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited four-year institution.
• Strong expertise with data and analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau.
• Flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time at short or immediate notice.

Responsibilities

• Develop findings and make strategic recommendations.
• Structure work plans and manage time-sensitive projects through completion.
• Demonstrate strong financial modeling and financial statement analysis; 13-week cash-flow modeling preferred; Tableau and think-cell a plus.
• Drive client relationships and deliver time-pressured projects with high quality.
