Sierra-Cedar is seeking a bright and motivated PeopleSoft Technical/Functional HR Application Support Lead in the Vienna, VA area. Candidates should live in the Washington, DC, Northern VA or Maryland area and within a reasonable driving distance from Vienna, with primary remote work and occasional travel to client offices.

The role requires deep PeopleSoft expertise, strong SQL/PeopleTools skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts for functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years PeopleSoft experience and 10 years in IT.
• Strong PeopleTools, Application Designer, App Engine and PeopleCode.
• Experience with full application lifecycle and production support.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert troubleshooting for functional/technical issues in production support.
• Generate technical specs and documentation for development requests.
• Collaborate with DBAs, PeopleSoft admins, and developers to resolve issues.
• Create PS Reports and maintain security configurations.
• Lead client sessions and ensure smooth migrations of objects between environments.

Sierra-Cedar is seeking a bright and motivated PeopleSoft Technical/Functional Human Resource Application Support Lead in the Vienna, VA area. Candidates should live in the Washington, DC, Northern VA or Maryland area and within a reasonable driving distance from the client offices in Vienna, VA. Candidates will primarily work remotely, with occasional travel to the client offices for face to face meetings.

REQUIRED PEOPLESOFT SKILLS

• Minimum of 8 years PeopleSoft experience, and 10 years in Information Technology
• PeopleSoft 9.2 experience
• Complete understanding of technical aspects of the PeopleSoft application

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Provide expert troubleshooting for isolating functional / technical problems in a production support environment
• Strong PeopleTools skills, including Application Designer, Application Engine, and PeopleCode
• Working knowledge of the full application lifecycle
• Must have good written and oral communication skills. Candidate should be able speak with DBA's, PeopleSoft Administrators, and developers regarding technical matters, and be able to explain issues in plain language for functional team members
• Produce business requirements and technical specification documentation for development requests
• Strong SQL skills, ability to write and execute advance SQL (preferably Oracle database)
• Experience with Integration Broker / App Messaging
• Ability to Create PS Queries
• Ability to write reports in BI Publisher
• Have knowledge of PeopleSoft security
• Develop application solutions per client specifications
• Perform migrations of objects between databases
• Provide quality formal and informal documentation consistent with client standards

REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

• Functional knowledge is desired in the following HRMS modules: Candidate Gateway, Talent Acquisition Manager, Core Human Resources, Benefits and Benefits Administration, eBenefits, Time and Labor, Payroll for North America, Performance Management, Profile Management, Employee and Manager Self Service
• Provide functional expertise to the client for any of the modules listed
• Work with the client to clean up data issues in any of the modules listed
• Facilitate client functional and technical design requirement sessions
• Execute unit tests or facilitate user acceptance testing for application enhancements and patching or upgrades

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

• Communicates clearly and effectively with client and Sierra-Cedar team members and management
• Provides work effort coordination between remote and onsite resources utilizing regularly scheduled conference calls, web sessions, and meetings as required
• Maintains an effective relationship with the client, team members and management – a true team player
• Provides input in the development of tools and processes to help increase team productivity
• Takes initiative and works independently
• Displays effective analytical and organizational skills
• Effectively manages scope and client expectations on individual assignments
• Follows through on all assignments and takes ownership of client issues

OTHER

• Previous experience with financial institutions is a plus
• This position may require some after hours on-call support as needed

TRAVEL

This position is local to the Vienna, VA area. Candidates may work remotely the majority of the time, but must live within a reasonable driving distance for occasional site visits.
