Job summary

Okta is seeking a Staff Product Analyst (Workday Payroll, Absence & Time Tracking) to join our People Technology Team. This role leads the end-to-end lifecycle of these programs, from strategic discovery and design to global deployment and adoption.

You will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across People, Payroll, IT, and Finance, ensuring our Workday suite drives automation and accuracy. In this role you will design and configure Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking processes, deliver

Qualifications

• 7+ years configuring Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Deep functional knowledge of Workday Payroll components, taxes, and global HR processes.
• Experience leading tenant configuration testing (UAT & regression).
• Strong ability to build custom reports, dashboards, and hubs for data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication across global time zones and stakeholders.
• Experience working in an Agile environment and managing backlogs.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy and multi-year roadmap for Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Partner with People, Payroll, and Finance leadership to translate business needs into requirements.
• Design and configure Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking business processes and pay components.
• Manage the full lifecycle of payroll-related configurations from discovery to deployment.
• Leverage Workday reporting to monitor performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Oversee relationships with vendors (e.g., ADP) for data integrity and SLAs.
• Champion process improvements to reduce manual intervention and improve accuracy.
• Drive end-user adoption through documentation, guides, and training programs.
• Ensure configurations comply with global data privacy and security standards.
