People & Talent Lead: Build the Function + Equity

Job summary

Asseti is building a dedicated people function from the ground up. You will own talent acquisition and HR operations across regions, designing scalable processes from intake to offer, onboarding, and ongoing support.

You’ll partner with leadership to plan headcount and build a reliable recruiting engine that brings in top engineers, product, GTM, and ops talent. You will also lead payroll, benefits, onboarding, and HR policies, ensuring compliance and data integrity across multiple time zones

Qualifications

• 4+ years in People, HR, or Talent roles with hands-on recruiting and HR operations
• Experience hiring in multiple countries or with PEO/EOR providers
• Solid knowledge of US employment law and HR compliance
• Ability to manage end-to-end processes and build scalable systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Able to work autonomously across time zones

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting across regions, building a scalable hiring engine
• Partner with leadership on headcount planning and recruiting priorities
• Proactively source passive candidates for hard-to-fill roles
• Design a structured interview process with scorecards and kits
• Manage candidate experience and employer branding
• Oversee agency and recruiter relationships and cost controls
• Track recruiting metrics and report on pipeline health
• Run day-to-day HR ops including records, contracts, lifecycle changes
• Own payroll and benefits administration with Finance
• Design on- and off-boarding experiences
• Maintain HR policies and an employee handbook
• Manage HRIS and ensure data quality
• Ensure compliance with local laws and partner with external advisors
• Support managers with performance cycles and employee relations
