Job summary

Adonis is seeking a Head of People to lead and scale the People function across recruiting, people operations, employee experience, and strategic business partnership. The role partners with executives to align people strategy with company priorities and business performance, delivering scalable infrastructure and practical programs.

The candidate will own talent programs, recruiting strategy, and people analytics, while serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and building a high-performing

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience across People leadership, recruiting, People Operations, HR business partnership, or related areas, with meaningful time in high-growth environments.
• Experience leading a broad People function that spans recruiting, People Operations, employee experience, and business partnership.
• Strong operator with a track record of building scalable systems, processes, and programs from the ground up.
• Experienced manager and coach with the ability to build high-performing teams and raise the bar across the function.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to connect People strategy to company priorities, organizational needs, and financial realities.
• Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders on org design, talent decisions, and organizational effectiveness.
• Excellent communicator who can bring structure, clarity, and calm to complex or sensitive situations.
• High degree of discretion, accountability, and follow-through.
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead employee experience and talent programs, including onboarding, engagement, development, recognition, and retention.
• Oversee performance management processes, including reviews, calibrations, promotions, and compensation planning.
• Provide managers with tools, training, and frameworks to set clear expectations and lead high-performing teams.
• Evolve leveling, career development, and talent practices to be simple, fair, and business-useful.
• Develop learning, manager enablement, and internal capability-building initiatives.
• Run engagement and listening mechanisms and translate themes into action plans.
• Own the recruiting strategy and operating model to attract, assess, and close top talent.
• Lead or support senior and critical searches, especially for leadership roles; improve intake, interview design, scorecards, calibration, and close strategy.
• Build employer brand in collaboration with executives and function leaders to clarify story, mission, and values.
