Job summary

Cohere is hiring a People Systems and Automation Manager to own how our HR processes run and to automate them. You will redesign workflows across Rippling, Slack, Notion and our stack, and own offboarding and employee support.

This hands-on role requires building end-to-end processes, identifying bottlenecks, and delivering scalable automation that reduces manual work and errors across a growing, global team.

Qualifications

• Built People Ops/HR systems at fast-growing companies.
• Implemented HRIS migrations and understood costs.
• Built workflows and automations in HR systems with triggers and integrations.
• Think in systems, can discuss triggers, conditions, failure modes and edge cases.
• Experience across multiple countries and entities, including EOR or contractor populations.
• Comfort across the employee journey from hire to exit.

Responsibilities

• Map current People processes and identify bottlenecks.
• Redesign processes before automating to avoid existing problems.
• Build cross-tool workflows and automations for HRIS and related tooling.
• Own end-to-end employee lifecycle: joiners, movers and leavers.
• Create SOPs and runbooks that are actually used and maintained.
• Design scalable processes for audit and compliance.
