Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a VP, People Strategy & Transformation to architect and drive enterprise-scale HR transformation across the People Experience organization. You will connect vision to execution, lead technologic and storytelling initiatives, and guide a team delivering strategic HR programs at global scale.

Jointly with the PE Leadership Team, you will set multi-year agendas, prioritize investments, and establish KPIs to prove HR's impact on business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Progressive HR leadership across strategy, technology, and operational transformation.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale HR strategy, planning, and/or HR technology programs in a large global organization.
• Deep expertise in at least two areas: HR strategy, HR technology, change management, PMO, or people branding.
• Proven ability to translate vision into executable strategy and drive transformational change.
• Strong executive presence with ability to influence senior leaders, including C-suite stakeholders.
• Experience building diverse, high-performing teams across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead enterprise-wide HR strategy aligned with business priorities and long-term vision.
• Shape and socialise the People Experience story through EVP and talent branding across the globe.
• Own HR planning, prioritization, and resource allocation to maximize value and currency of decisions.
• Develop multi-year investment roadmaps and ensure PE budgets support strategic priorities.
• Provide executive leadership for HR technology, including Workday strategy and AI-enabled tools.
• Oversee the Chief of Staff function to ensure strategic clarity and integrated execution.
• Provide top-level portfolio governance and reporting on initiatives, risks, and outcomes.
