Job summary

Heritage Landscapes in Marin County seeks a versatile Landscaping Maintenance Manager to lead high-end residential maintenance accounts, coordinate crews, and ensure safety and quality across multiple estates.

In this full-cycle role you will recruit and train staff, manage time and materials, and maintain strong client relations while advancing sustainable landscape practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in landscape maintenance with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience training, evaluating and making employment decisions (hiring/terminations).
• Experience managing crews and coordinating landscape projects.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Valid California Driver's License and pesticide/applicator credentials.
• Arborist and ReScape certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and hold Crew Leaders accountable.
• Provide on-the-job training and development.
• Recruit, onboard and terminate field staff.
• Handle daily time entry, receipts and work tickets.
• Oversee weekly time-card management and payroll.
• Rotate daily to job sites to uphold safety and quality.

We are seeking a versatile, high-performing Landscaping Maintenance Manager to join our growing team. In this full account lifecycle role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for high-end residential landscape maintenance account portfolios. Core Responsibilities

• Lead, Manage and hold Crew Leaders Accountable.
• Provide on-the-job skills training and development.
• Evaluate Field Staff performance, conduct quarterly conversations and as-needed discipline.
• Responsible for Field Staff recruitment, onboarding and terminations.
• Responsible for daily time entry, receipts & work ticket completion.
• Responsible for weekly time card management & submission for payroll.
• Rotate daily to job sites to ensure high standards of safety and quality.
• Provide onsite Client communication.
• Order, schedule and procure timely and accurate material deliveries.
• Coordinate all subcontractors and equipment requirements.
• Manage fleet, tools & equipment, yard organization & efficiency and material inventory.
• Stay at the forefront of emerging trends in sustainable landscape, water conservation and other relevant horticultural practices through continuing education and industry participation.
• Ensure that company production rates and standards of quality workmanship are met or exceeded.
• Enforce the company’s Injury and Prevention Program to promote a safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Director.
• Operate equipment and vehicles in a safe and proper manner.
• Serve as a member of the Heritage Landscapes Team and participate in a highly cooperative and positive manner.
• Communicate with the Maintenance Director regarding progress of tasks. Interact with Clients and other Team Members in a proactive and professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience managing crews.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary : $125,000 / year plus company-wide profit sharing.
