Job summary

Allied Landscape Services, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Operations Manager to coordinate field crews and production activities. You will plan schedules, monitor labor hours, and ensure safety and quality across sites.

Strong leadership and bilingual communication are essential to align with core values while delivering high-quality landscape services in Livermore, CA. The role requires 3+ years in commercial maintenance, 1–2 years in supervision, and proficiency with ASPIRE and standard office

Qualifications

  • Bilingual communication required: Spanish and English.
  • 3+ years in commercial landscape maintenance.
  • 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • Valid CA driver’s license with acceptable record.
  • Knowledge of horticultural practices and pest identification.
  • Ability to lead, teach, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, plan, and coordinate field production activities.
  • Manage labor hours and weekly work orders with ASC and Direct Manager.
  • Maintain safety, efficiency, and quality standards.
  • Plan and schedule crews using ASPIRE; monitor budget hours.
  • Staff recruitment and development; coach team on SOPs and policies.
  • Ensure equipment is working with Shop Mechanics; oversee site expectations.

Position Summary

This is a full-time opportunity within our Operations Department. The Maintenance Operations Manager will be a key member of the Operations team who directs, plans, and coordinates all production activities performed by crews according to pre-established schedules, standards and procedures in order to provide a high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Professionally represent Allied Landscape in all activities
  • Understanding of Allied Landscape Core Values and Policies
  • Perform work with high commitment to safety efficiency, and quality
  • Work closely with the ASC and your Direct Manager to manage labor hours while ensuring work orders are completed timely, working and completing weekly task requested by ASC and your Direct Manager
  • Plan, prioritize, schedule and organize work for reporting crew members by using our internal system ASPIRE
  • Manage effectively the budget hours on your crews and jobs
  • Support ASC on approving Daily the employees time cards/ Working on supporting and fixing issues with Inova
  • Recruit and make sure your crews are staffed
  • Identify opportunities to improve production methods and provide additional training to team members
  • Ensure that maintenance crews comply with their job descriptions and coach them on their career development. Keeping the quality of jobs up to standards and customer retention .
  • Be present during the mornings and afternoon to assist in any needs the crews may have and plan for the next day.
  • Follow and encourage good morning stretch and flex practice
  • Responsible for water management in your jobs , keeping plants alive and saving water .
  • Promote and hold employees accountable to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Follow and apply the company policies .
  • Being a role model and lead by example .
  • Develop and maintain a positive work environment with employees through strong leadership.
  • Works closely with Shop Mechanics to assure all equipment is working properly
  • Know your assigned customers,their site and their expectations .Portfolio assignments are subject to chance .
  • Respond to your teams calls, texts, emails quickly and efficiently (call & text within 4-6 hours and emails within 24 hours)
  • Manage requests, tasks, notes, calendar invites and projects within designed Allied systems (aspire/google)
  • Communicate regularly with your team crews, AMs, ASC and HR.Communication is important on this role and key for having success on this Role , Having a high level of communication with Teams-ASC-Direct Supervisor
  • Work closely each week to ensure we are on the page. Share and prioritize site related issues
  • Follow up on outstanding issues and make sure tasks are performed in a timely manner
Qualifications | Skills
  • Bilingual communication. Spanish - English - Required
  • 3+ years of experience in Commercial Maintenance Landscape
  • 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role
  • Safety - CPR Certification
  • Ability to pass Allied’s Truck & Trailer test
  • Ability to identify different pest in a landscape environment
  • Understanding of Horticultural Practices
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, lead, and teach in a productive team environment
  • Ability to multitask, establish priorities, and follow-thru on all assignments related to clients and company.
  • A valid California Driver's License with a record that is acceptable to the company’s insurance company.
  • Computer experience including Microsoft Office and Google Office programs.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical - Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently throughout an 8 hour work day.
  • Physical - Able to work in various positions including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting.
  • Physical - Ability to work in typical landscape working conditions - primarily outdoors, exposed to varying temperatures, weather conditions and noise levels, exposure to dust, chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, grease, oils, dust, and fumes
