Job summary

Heritage Landscapes in the Bay Area seeks a versatile Landscaping Maintenance Manager to lead residential estate maintenance programs, oversee crews, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors. The role emphasizes high‑touch client relations, safety, and continuous improvement in sustainable practices.

The position requires extensive landscape maintenance experience with supervisory responsibilities, bilingual English/Spanish communication, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in landscape maintenance with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
• Experience managing crews and overseeing projects.
• Experience training, evaluating and making employment decisions.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Qualified Pesticide Applicator Certificate (QAC).
• Arborist Certificate.
• ReScape Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and hold Crew Leaders accountable.
• Provide on-the-job skills training and development.
• Evaluate field staff performance and conduct reviews.
• Recruit, onboard and terminate field staff as needed.
• Oversee time entry, receipts and work tickets.
• Manage weekly time cards for payroll.
• Rotate to job sites to ensure safety and quality.
• Provide onsite client communication.
• Order and schedule material deliveries.
• Coordinate subcontractors and equipment.
• Manage fleet, tools, yard organization and inventory.
• Stay updated on sustainable landscaping trends and best practices.
• Ensure production rates and quality workmanship meet standards.
• Enforce Injury and Prevention Program for safety.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Operate equipment safely.
• Collaborate with Heritage Landscapes Team and maintain professionalism.
• Communicate progress with Maintenance Director and clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a versatile, high‑performing Landscaping Maintenance Manager to join our growing team. In this full account lifecycle role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for high‑end residential landscape maintenance account portfolios. Core Responsibilities

• Lead, Manage and hold Crew Leaders Accountable.
• Provide on‑the‑job skills training and development.

• Stay at the forefront of emerging trends in sustainable landscape, water conservation and other relevant horticultural practices through continuing education and industry participation.
• Ensure that company production rates and standards of quality workmanship are met or exceeded.
• Enforce the company’s Injury and Prevention Program to promote a safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Director.
• Operate equipment and vehicles in a safe and proper manner.
• Serve as a member of the Heritage Landscapes Team and participate in a highly cooperative and positive manner.
• Communicate with the Maintenance Director regarding progress of tasks. Interact with Clients and other Team Members in a proactive and professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ in landscape maintenance with at least 2 years in a supervisory position and landscape enhancement & irrigation project management.
• Experience managing crews.
• Experience training, evaluating and making employment decisions (hiring, terminations)
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Valid California Drivers License.

• ReScape Certificate.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary : $125,000 / year plus company‑wide profit sharing.
