Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen seeks an HR Generalist to partner with managers and employees, guiding employee relations, performance management, workforce planning and policy interpretation. You will support onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

As a key culture steward, you’ll manage HR programs, reports, and analytics, collaborating across locations to drive business goals and a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of progressive HR experience or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management and HR policies
• Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices
• Ability to build trusted relationships with employees and leaders across locations and levels
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR partner to managers and employees on employee relations, performance and policy interpretation
• Support full employee lifecycle including onboarding, development, retention and offboarding
• Advise leaders on HR practices while ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws
• Collaborate with leaders to support organizational goals through engagement and talent initiatives
• Facilitate employee and labor relations matters and resolve issues per policy
• Administer HR programs (benefits, payroll support, leave, wellbeing, return-to-work)
• Maintain HR systems, records, reporting and analytics to improve processes and experiences
