Job summary

Clutch is seeking a People Operations Generalist to own onboarding, offboarding and employee lifecycle programs in a fast-moving environment. You will drive engagement, recognition, performance processes and compliance, partnering with People leadership to scale processes and systems.

In this hands-on role you will automate workflows, map end-to-end processes, and build strong cross-functional relationships with IT, Legal and Finance.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years in an HR Operations/People Operations or HR Generalist role with program management experience.
• Proven ability to launch and run company-wide programs end-to-end.
• Comfortable owning vendor relationships (payroll, HRIS, LMS) and holding vendors accountable.
• Systems thinking with end-to-end process mapping and redesign.
• Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance across multiple states.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Hands-on experience using AI agents and automations to optimize recurring HR operations work.

Responsibilities

• Meet with People leadership and cross-functional partners to understand priorities and pain points.
• Develop understanding of HR Ops systems and automate quick wins to reduce manual work.
• Review compliance docs and flag gaps across states and entities.
• Run core People Operations workflows (onboarding, offboarding, lifecycle changes) independently.
• Serve as a responsive point of contact for employee questions with leadership support for sensitive issues.
• Establish accountability with key vendors (payroll, HRIS) and regular check-ins.
• Identify and implement at least one automation to cut manual HR tasks.
• Build strong relationships with IT, Legal, and Finance partners.
