Job summary

Opiniion is seeking an experienced People Operations Generalist to serve as the operational backbone of the People team. You will own HR operations end-to-end, including benefits, leave, HRIS administration, performance reviews, employee relations, compliance, analytics, payroll, and learning & development work.

You’ll partner across the People Ops team and cover leadership absences as needed. You will manage Rippling, ensure compliance, coordinate development programs, support onboarding

Qualifications

• 4+ years as HR Generalist or similar role.
• Experience administering payroll, benefits and leave programs.
• Hands-on Rippling HRIS administration.
• Knowledge of multi-state employment laws and recordkeeping.
• Experience supporting performance review cycles.
• Strong HR analytics and reporting for leadership.
• Experience designing learning and development programs.
• Excellent discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day administrator of Rippling (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy and reports.
• Maintain multi-state HR compliance documentation across jurisdictions.
• Administer quarterly performance review cycle, including scheduling and calibration.
• First point of contact for employee relations and policy interpretation.
• Design and coordinate learning and development programs and manager training.
• Administer employee benefits, enrollment and life-event changes.
• Own FMLA and state-specific leave processes from intake to return-to-work.
• Maintain employee handbook and HR policy docs.
• Coordinate onboarding handoff with Talent Acquisition for smooth transitions.
• Plan culture and engagement activities, all-hands events, holidays, team-building.
• Provide payroll processing and related tax/compensation administration.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation across People Ops systems.
