Job summary

Opiniion in Lehi, UT is seeking a People Operations Generalist to serve as the operational backbone of the People team. You will own end-to-end HR operations, including payroll, benefits, leave, HRIS, and policy administration.

You’ll partner with the People Ops team, manage performance cycles, develop learning programs, and ensure compliance across states while safeguarding confidential information. This is an on-site opportunity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
• Hands-on experience administering payroll, benefits, and leave programs.
• Experience administering an HRIS platform (Rippling preferred).
• Working knowledge of multi-state employment law, compliance requirements, and recordkeeping.
• Experience supporting or administering a performance review cycle.
• Strong analytical skills with experience producing people and HR reporting for leadership.
• Experience designing or coordinating learning and development programs.
• High attention to detail, sound judgment, and confidentiality.
• Ability to operate independently and take ownership, especially during leadership absences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day administrator of Rippling (HRIS) and produce standard reports.
• Track and maintain HR compliance documentation across multi-state jurisdictions.
• Administer quarterly performance review cycle, including scheduling and data consolidation.
• First point of contact for employee relations questions and policy interpretation.
• Design and coordinate learning and development programs, including manager training.
• Administer employee benefits enrollment and changes and coordinate with brokers.
• Own FMLA and state-specific leave cases from intake through return-to-work.
• Maintain the employee handbook and internal HR policy docs.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on new-hire handoff for smooth onboarding.
• Plan and run culture and engagement activities, events, and team-building.
• Back up core HR operations during planned leadership absences.
• Process payroll and own related tax and compensation administration.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation across People Ops.
