Job summary

UnitedMasters, Inc. is seeking a People & Culture Generalist to own daily employee support, HR systems, and lifecycle operations across UnitedMasters, Translation, and Shared Services.

You’ll manage core People processes, support programs, and leverage AI to improve workflows in a hybrid Brooklyn-based role. The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of HR/People Operations, experience with HRIS, and a proactive, confidential, data-driven approach to HR tasks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive HR or People Operations experience.
• Experience administering an HRIS or People tools, maintaining accurate employee data, and improving operational workflows.
• Experience supporting People programs or HR projects, with demonstrated judgment in handling confidential and sensitive matters.
• Strong understanding of HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, and the connection between systems, data, and employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Employee and manager support: Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day People questions and explain policies.
• Employee lifecycle: Own onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding, coordinating orientation and system updates.
• HR systems and data: Manage day-to-day HRIS configuration, workflows, permissions, integrations, and data audits.
• AI adoption and process improvement: Identify and implement AI tools and automation across People ops, test outputs, protect confidential info.
• Immigration coordination: Coordinate visa sponsorships, renewals, and documentation with employees and external counsel.
• Offboarding support: Partner on separation logistics and handoffs to IT, Facilities, and Payroll.
• Documentation and reporting: Maintain process guides and routine reports; flag issues for action.
• Cross-functional projects: Support HR projects and system implementations with task coordination.
