Job summary

UnitedMasters is seeking a People & Culture Generalist to own daily employee support, HR systems, and lifecycle operations across UnitedMasters, Translation, and Shared Services. You’ll independently manage core People processes and use AI to improve how we work.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in HR/People Operations, experience with HRIS and data accuracy, and the judgment to handle confidential matters. This is a hybrid role based in Brooklyn, NY, with four days in office and one remote.

Qualifications

• 4+ years HR or People Operations experience.
• Experience administering an HRIS or People tools, maintaining accurate employee data, and improving operational workflows.
• Experience supporting People programs or HR projects, with judgment in handling confidential matters.
• Strong understanding of HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, and data-system connections.
• Sound judgment and discretion, with the ability to resolve routine matters independently.

Responsibilities

• Employee and manager support: serve as first contact for day-to-day People questions and explain policies.
• Employee lifecycle: own onboarding, changes, and offboarding, coordinating orientation and documentation.
• HR systems and data: manage HRIS/People tool administration, configurations, and data audits.
• AI adoption: identify practical uses of AI tools and automation across People operations.
• Immigration coordination: coordinate visa sponsorships, renewals, and related docs with counsel.
• Offboarding support: assist with separation logistics and handoffs to IT/Payroll.
• Documentation and reporting: maintain process guides and routine reports.
• Cross-functional projects: support HR projects and system implementations.
