Range is building AI-powered solutions to simplify financial life and wealth management from our McLean, VA headquarters. The People Operations Specialist will own the employee lifecycle, run HR operations, and be the primary owner of our PEO relationship, working in an in-office setup Monday through Friday.

This role demands strong execution, sound judgment, and the ability to independently drive core HR processes in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in HR operations, ideally in a tech startup environment.
• Experience running HR operations in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail and good judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Comfort partnering with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Desire to build scalable systems, not just execute tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding and offboarding processes end-to-end, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
• Manage timesheet and payroll inputs and coordinate with our PEO and Finance.
• Serve as the primary owner of HR systems, data accuracy, reporting, and audits.
• Triage and resolve employee questions related to benefits, policies, and HR processes.
• Maintain and improve HR documentation, policies, and self-service resources.
• Partner with the Head of People and HRBP to improve and scale people operations.
• Identify process gaps and proactively implement improvements.
