Job summary

Gemini is seeking a People Operations Associate to help shape and scale our People Operations function from the New York office. You will own onboarding, offboarding, HRIS transactions, and data management while protecting confidentiality and ensuring accuracy.

You will partner with cross-functional teams across Talent Acquisition, IT, Security, Payroll, and Benefits, driving process improvements and SOPs with a high level of discretion in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Human Resources, People Operations, or similar function in a fast-growing org.
• 2+ years administering Workday, Dayforce, or equivalent HRIS.
• Experience supporting onboarding, offboarding, HRIS transactions and data management.
• Knowledge of US employment laws including I-9 verification and confidentiality.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to data integrity and compliance.
• Experience using Jira or similar ticketing systems to manage requests.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own core People Operations programs across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding.
• Lead the end-to-end onboarding experience with in-person sessions and training.
• Partner with People Business Partners to deliver a seamless experience.
• Execute lifecycle transactions in Workday/Dayforce, Lattice and related systems.
• Manage background checks, I-9 verifications, and compliance.
• Serve as first point of contact through the People Team Help Desk.
• Maintain confidential employee files with high standards of data integrity.
• Administer compliance training and reporting on a regular basis.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes.
• Support internal audits with timely HR documentation.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, IT, Security, Payroll, Benefits.
• Create and update SOPs in Confluence and Google Drive.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and track project deliverables.
