Job summary

Premier Trailer Leasing is seeking a highly organized HR and Payroll Specialist to manage payroll cycles, benefits, onboarding, and HRIS maintenance. You will ensure compliance with labor laws and support employee relations while handling confidential information with discretion.

The role requires collaboration across HR functions in an in-office setting and a commitment to accuracy, process improvement, and timely reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or equivalent HR/Payroll work experience.
• Proven experience in payroll processing, recruiting, onboarding and supporting HR functions for a medium to large business.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in HRIS and payroll software; experience with ExponentHR, Paycor or similar systems is a plus.
• Experience implementing HRIS software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting and hosting career fairs, managing ATS and posting jobs.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding activities and orientations.
• Maintain accurate HRIS records (Jobvite, ExponentHR, Paycor).
• Support employee relations and guide on policies and procedures.
• Assist with HR admin tasks, including verifications, HR events, and reporting.
