Job summary

Pacific Service Credit Union is seeking an Human Resources Generalist Business Partner to support departments across the full employment lifecycle. You will provide day‑to‑day HR guidance, employee relations, recruitment coordination, compliance, and HR technology support.

You will collaborate with department leaders to address workforce needs, plan recognition and engagement initiatives, and ensure policy adherence while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 4–6 years of progressive HR experience, including benefits and leave administration, performance management, employee relations, and recruitment.
• In‑depth knowledge of HR laws, principles, and practices related to compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and California employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, to ensure compliant HR practices.
• High levels of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence when handling sensitive matters.
• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills, along with project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in HRIS and ATS software, preferably ADP.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer programs such as the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary People Operations Business Partner for assigned Credit Union departments.
• Build relationships with department leaders and understand operations, staffing needs, and goals.
• Advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, goals, staffing, and policy interpretation.
• Identify workforce trends and opportunities to improve engagement and employee experience.
• Provide guidance aligned with policies, values, objectives, and laws.
• Coordinate and oversee employee recognition programs and events.
• Deliver training on HR topics such as orientation, benefits onboarding, and safety.
• Coordinate HR communications and maintain channels and calendars.
• Partner with hiring managers to clarify staffing needs and recruitment timelines.
• Assist with documenting performance concerns and coaching conversations.
• Support compliance with employment laws and update practices as needed.
• Maintain data accuracy and privacy controls in HR systems.
