Job summary

Chanel, Inc. in New Jersey seeks an HR Associate to join its People Operations team. You will be the first point of contact for onboarding and offboarding, partner with payroll, and maintain accurate employee records in Workday to ensure a smooth employee lifecycle.

Located in NJ Piscataway with frequent travel to the NY office (minimum three times per month), this role supports day-to-day HR processes, helps improve processes, and contributes to an inclusive culture at Chanel.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or administrative support preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience with HRIS systems (such as Workday) is a plus.
• Chanel reserves the right to edit, change, or make exceptions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for onboarding and offboarding processes, providing guidance and support.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, assisting with documentation, system access, and orientation schedules.
• Support offboarding by facilitating exit processes, collecting company assets, and ensuring timely completion of steps.
• Accurately enter and maintain employee data in Workday, ensuring records are up-to-date and error-free.
• Liaise with payroll to communicate changes and ensure timely processing of payroll information.
• Respond to employee queries regarding HR processes, policies, and Workday navigation.
• Assist with preparing reports and maintaining documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Contribute to process improvements by sharing feedback and ideas for onboarding, offboarding, and data management.
