Role Overview

As a People Operations Manager, you’ll own the design and delivery of our people infrastructure, from data-driven onboarding and training to compliance to HRIS management, and culture programming. You’ll partner with leaders to automate and optimize core processes, turn employee feedback into action, and curate experiences that drive engagement, equity, and performance across a fast-growing AI startup.

Your Impact

Compliance & HR Operations

  • Report to VP People while supporting HR and Legal on company-wide employee relations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations
  • Administer 401(k), benefits, and unemployment claims in partnership with the HR team
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee benefits, leave, and PTO
  • Work closely with our immigration lawyers to manage immigration processes, visa applications, and act as key point of contact for foreign nationals

Business Partnering & Onboarding

  • Own and improve our full-cycle onboarding process, ensuring consistency and impact through tools like Rippling
  • Define and update onboarding frameworks, review processes, and materials
  • Support management coaching and company-wide development initiatives
  • Partner with Talent to shape and execute L&D initiatives that support team growth; analyze performance and feedback data to shape relevant training program

Employee Experience & Culture

  • Support our hybrid employee experience strategy through tailored events, team offsites, hackathons, and company-wide gatherings
  • Serve as a culture ambassador and planning partner for cross-functional team-building efforts
  • Stay ahead of workplace culture trends to continuously evolve our programs

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in People Ops, with at least 2 years in a People Partner/HRBP capacity; prior experience leading People Ops in a high-growth startup is a plus!
  • Strong experience in project management and owning processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Deep understanding of HR compliance and risk management
  • Trusted partnership with leadership and executive teams
  • Operational excellence, with a high bar for execution and ownership
  • Comfortable managing vendors, tools, and budgets to deliver quality experiences for every department
  • High emotional and social intelligence

Labelbox strives to ensure pay parity across the organization and discuss compensation transparently. The expected annual base salary range for United States-based candidates is below. This range is not inclusive of any potential equity packages or additional benefits. Exact compensation varies based on a variety of factors, including skills and competencies, experience, and geographical location.

Annual base salary range

$140,000—$160,000 USD
