Job description

A highly successful AI company specializing in HR & Recruitment is seeking a top-notch People Operations Manager to join their fast-growing team! This is a special opportunity to be part of a highly intelligent, driven, and collaborative team and make an impact!

Role Location & Requirements:

*This role is based in San Francisco and requires 6 days onsite, Monday - Saturday

Salary & Benefits:

Salary: $110 - 150k + Equity + Excellent Benefits!

About the Role:

As our People Operations Manager, you'll be the go-to person for all HR operations—from onboarding new team members and generating offer letters to ensuring smooth payroll runs and vendor payments. You’ll help us build a strong operational foundation while maintaining our people-first values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding workflows
2. Draft and process offer letters and employment agreements
3. Own and optimize payroll across geographies (in partnership with finance)
4. Coordinate vendor payments and support contractor management
5. Maintain and improve HR systems and documentation
6. Partner with leadership on compliance, culture, and employee engagement

Qualifications:

1. 3–5+ years in People Ops, HR, or similar roles at startups or high-growth environments
2. Experience handling payroll, onboarding, and HRIS tools
3. Ability to multi-task and build processes from scratch
4. Clear communication skills, with a bias for action and empathy
5. Bonus: Familiarity with the HR tech or AI space
6. 4-year degree required
