One of our companies is currently looking for a People Operations Manager in the United States.
This role is a unique opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments. As a People Operations Manager, you will support a wide range of HR functions with a focus on employee experience, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. You'll play a key role in shaping HR strategy while mentoring junior team members and partnering with leadership to align HR initiatives with broader business goals. This is a hands-on position perfect for someone who is passionate about operational excellence, people-centric policies, and making data-informed decisions. Accountabilities:
- Manage day-to-day People Operations functions and provide oversight to the People Operations Coordinator
- Drive the performance management cycle and assist in designing employee development programs
- Lead benefits administration, including employee support, analysis, and compliance
- Conduct compensation reviews and provide data-backed recommendations to leadership
- Ensure legal compliance with labor laws and regulations, particularly in California (and ideally New York)
- Provide guidance on employee relations, workplace training, and talent management strategies
- Maintain and optimize the HRIS in collaboration with payroll and HR support teams
- Use data to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and recommend process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience/certification
- Extensive knowledge of California employment laws; New York experience is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in an HR role, ideally within an agency or fast-paced environment
- Strong background in HR operations, compliance, benefits, and compensation
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and advanced Excel/Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
- Experience managing direct reports and working cross-functionally with leadership
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to handle confidential matters with sensitivity
