Job summary

Shiftsmart is seeking a senior People leader to own talent acquisition, onboarding, performance, and retention. Based in New York City (HQ), this role requires 4+ days per week in the office and cross‑functional partnership with hiring managers and leaders to scale the organization.

You will build scalable people systems, lead the recruiting team, and leverage data to drive decisions that improve talent quality and retention as Shiftsmart grows rapidly.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to design scalable people systems and processes.
• Strong problem solving and data-driven decision making.
• Experience leading recruiting, onboarding, performance, and retention programs.

Responsibilities

• Own talent acquisition end to end with funnel metrics accountability.
• Raise our talent bar via structured interview processes and calibration.
• Build onboarding materials and programs to accelerate new-hire productivity.
• Run performance management cycles with clear goals, calibration, and feedback.
• Drive retention through career paths, manager effectiveness, and engagement loops.
• Lead with data using analytics to diagnose problems and prioritize initiatives.
• Manage and develop the recruiting team and upskill staff over time.
