Job summary

OptiFunder Corp is seeking a People & Operations Manager to own internal people operations, HR, recruiting, and compliance. This fully remote, individual contributor role reports to the CEO and involves building processes, using AI to automate workflows, and scaling the team without proportional headcount increases.

You will lead onboarding, offboarding, policy maintenance, and engagement initiatives while partnering with a PEO for payroll and benefits. Mortgage/fintech exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HR, people operations, or business operations.
• Experience with benefits administration and employee lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with a PEO or outsourced HR provider.
• Strong ability to build, implement, and improve processes in a growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Own HR, recruiting, onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Manage SOC 2 compliance related activities and audit evidence collection.
• Coordinate payroll, benefits enrollment, renewals, and vendor relationships with the PEO.
• Develop career paths, training programs, and performance review cycles.
• Leverage AI and automation to scale processes with minimal headcount growth.
