Job summary

OptiFunder Corp is seeking a People & Operations Manager to own internal people operations as the company scales. This fully remote, individual contributor role reports to the CEO and will drive HR, recruiting, development, compliance, and operations.

You will partner with a PEO for payroll and benefits, streamline processes, and build scalable infrastructure while supporting a growing team in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

5+ years in HR, people operations, or business operations.
Experience with a PEO or outsourced HR.
Strong ability to build, implement, and improve processes.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup.
Mortgage/financial services experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own payroll, benefits enrollment, renewals, employee questions, and issue resolution with the PEO.
Lead onboarding/offboarding, including documentation and system access.
Maintain HR policies, handbooks, records, and compliance processes.
Oversee recruiting, performance reviews, and compensation cycles.
Develop career paths, training, and professional development programs.
Manage SOC 2 compliance-related personnel controls and audits.
Automate processes and workflows using AI to scale efficiently.
