Delta Defense is seeking an HR Operations Manager to lead payroll, benefits, compliance, HRIS and analytics. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on building scalable systems and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability within the People team.

The role partners with Talent Acquisition, People Business Partners and L&D to deliver reliable workforce data and informed compensation decisions. Located at the West Bend, WI HQ.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in HR, including significant responsibility for HR operations.
• Experience overseeing payroll, benefits, HRIS, and employment compliance is essential.
• Hands‑on knowledge of HRIS/HCM systems and people data/reporting, plus multi‑state payroll and benefits administration.
• Demonstrated experience directly managing, coaching, and developing employees.
• Genuinely enjoys growing early‑career talent — not just running process.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on leadership to HR professionals supporting HRIS, People Analytics, Payroll and Benefits.
• Set clear expectations, establish priorities, and drive team performance.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members, building capabilities and opportunities for growth.
• Promote cross‑functional knowledge sharing to strengthen operational resilience.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and attention to detail.
