Job summary

Delta Defense in West Bend, WI, seeks a Manager, People Operations to lead HRIS, analytics, payroll and benefits. You will coach two early-career staff, build backups, and own a scalable data and systems roadmap.

You'll ensure on-time payroll across multiple states, drive reliable reporting, manage vendors, and support compensation benchmarking. This role partners with Talent, L&D and culture to deliver trusted people data and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in HR, Business, Finance, or related field; HR/payroll certification is a plus.
• 5-8+ years in HR operations, people systems, payroll/benefits, or total rewards; includes leadership experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of HRIS/HCM systems, people data/reporting, and multi-state payroll.
• Strong compliance knowledge and organized, detail-oriented with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop HRIS/People Analytics and Payroll & Benefits teams; set goals and coach.
• Ensure accurate, on-time payroll and benefits across multi-state footprint.
• Provide data-driven insights for compensation/benefits benchmarking and recommendations.
• Maintain HR systems, vendor management, and scalable processes.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies; flag risks.
• Collaborate with Talent & People Partnerships, L&D & Culture on data and processes.
