Job summary

4A Consulting is seeking an experienced HR & People Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day HR operations, payroll, benefits, and employee relations for a growing workforce.

This hands-on role covers employee lifecycle management, HR systems, compliance, and workforce operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, employee-focused, and capable of building scalable processes as the company expands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive HR or People Operations experience.
• Hands-on experience with ADP or a comparable HR/payroll platform.
• Experience supporting payroll and employee benefits administration.
• Strong understanding of HR operations, employee relations, and employment practices.
• Experience working with timekeeping and employee workforce data.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Onboard, changes, transfers, and offboard employees.
• Maintain employee records and HR systems.
• Coordinate biweekly payroll processing and payroll validation.
• Administer benefits enrollment and inquiries.
• Coordinate annual benefits enrollment and work with providers.
• Support PTO, sick leave, and other leave administration.
• Monitor timesheets, labor allocations, and payroll-related discrepancies.
• Partner with Finance on payroll, billing, invoicing, labor reporting.
• Ensure data for customer invoicing is accurate and timely.
• Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and managers.
• Support employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns.
• Coordinate 30/60/90-day new-hire check-ins and engagement activities.
• Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and communications.
• Support compliance with federal/state employment requirements.
